Opinions

<-- my bffs that go to this school already.
The school I go to should be my own opinion right? Then how come I don't get voice? I don't mind the school I'm at right now but I know I would be happier if I went to this other school. All my friends go to this other school and I like the people better. This school has a really wide variety of courses including my photography course. The people there are awesome, its an amazing academic school but the only problem is there's to many people. She thinks that I'll get swept away in the crowed or join a gang. but I know that if she lets me go this will be my year. I would, join sports teams, clubs meet new people and go academically forward.Check Spelling She has to let me go to let me be free and get out of my sisters shadows.

So maybe I fall into the wrong crowd but thats part of me growing up. I get were she's going with me just being a number to the teachers with so many people but it would help me be me.

<-- my amazing friends that I will miss.

February 24 2009 In New Orleans. Fat Tuesday or Mardi Gras brings chaos in the form of big parades, and parties. Some parties include feather masks and glittered top hats (These are also called mascaraed balls). Its celebrated all over the world. Its also includes King Cake parties. Locals of where the parade is held, Tourists, Catholic and pretty much everyone else takes place in the celebration including riding on floats or just watching. People can also just walk along and cheer. Its walking from one end to the other end of a small quarter in New Orleans.

Mardi Gras seems like a lot of fun. Except you can't eat anything afterwords, But the parties and all the food and the secrets held in the week could be pretty mystifying. The fact that all the people in New Orleans can be in this and its fun, is cool because it doesn't discriminate. It me might be cold but these people dress up like crazy and have cool parties and get to eat all day, It woud be so cool to go and get involved.

Rememberance Day<3

My Grandpa (a world war veritan)always says that rememberance day should be much more famous then it is. But what I wanted to know was why we celebrated on Novermber 11th and I learned that it's held on November 11 because that's when the peace treaty, called the Armistice was signed to end the First World War. Also that remembrance day was originally called Armistice Day. On rememberance day your supose to hournor the dead from the world wars. On the 11th day at the 11th hour of the 11th month for one minute to remember why we are so lucy and how all thoes people lost their lives for us to be free. The popy was the the small red flowers growing on the battlefields of France amongst the death and blood from the men who died fighting for their country. Because they bloomed on the graves we still wear poppys. So on remeberance day remeber the people that fought to set you free. Take a momement on the 11th day of the 11th month at the 11th hour and remeber, Never forget them because there still important and there all hero's. Lest We Forget.

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved, and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders Fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders Fields.

- John McCrae
